Gudjohnsen is considered to be one of the best Icelandic players to ever live as he holds the record for most goals, scoring 25 in 80 appearances for his national side.
Eidur Gudjohnsen started his career in his home country, playing for Valur in the Icelandic first division. The Icelandic striker then moved to PSV where he picked up his first medals, the KNVB Cup in the 1995-1996 season and then the Eredivisie the following year.
Gudjohnsen was now making a name for himself which led to Bolton Wanderes signing him. He made nearly 60 appearances at Bolton over two years which then brought the attention of an even bigger club.. Chelsea.
The icelandic forward played 186 times for the blues, and was a key player for them. Eidur helped Chelsea to win the Premier League title twice, (2004-2005, 2005-2006) the F.A Community Shield twice (2000, 2006) and finally the Football League Cup in 2004-2005.
